Stone Gables Estate brings back its beloved Christmas Light Drive-Thru for its eighth year, and it continues to get better. More than one million shimmering lights stretch along a three-mile route, all telling the story of Christmas with colorful displays and detailed storyboards. This year’s theme, Nativities Around the World, adds an extra layer of wonder. Guests will see life-sized nativity scenes, 18-foot illuminated trees, and the historic Star Barn and Herr’s Mill covered bridge draped in glowing lights. New features include angel arches, towering nine-foot nutcracker soldiers, a military tribute, and a nine-foot Santa. The whole experience is viewed from the comfort of your car, with a fun scavenger hunt built right in — keep an eye out for Darrel the Elf hiding along the way.
Messick’s Christmas Light Show | Mount Joy, PA
It might sound surprising that a farm equipment company puts on one of the most popular holiday light shows in the region, but that’s exactly what Messick’s has done for 13 seasons. This free show features more than 70,000 lights choreographed to upbeat Christmas music broadcast over FM radio or through speakers onsite. Dozens of Kubota tractors and excavators become part of the performance as their outlines and equipment light up in sync. Visitors can stay in their car or enjoy the view from bleachers. Shows run every 15–20 minutes, and donations collected afterward support local charities. Since 2013, Messick’s and Kubota have helped raise more than half a million dollars for families in need.
Christmas Spirit Light Show at Penn Medicine Park | Lancaster, PA
Lancaster’s baseball stadium trades summer nights for holiday lights during the Christmas Spirit Light Show, now in its eighth season. The mile-long drive-thru route features hundreds of thousands of lights synchronized to cheerful Christmas music. Each year brings new additions, and this season is expected to be the biggest yet. After the drive-thru portion, visitors can park and explore Christmas Tree Lane inside the stadium. More than 100 decorated trees fill the concourse, and guests will find carolers, Santa and his reindeer, seasonal snacks, and plenty of festive photo spots.
Christmas Magic at Rocky Ridge | York, PA
For guests who love a walk-through experience, Christmas Magic in York is a long-standing tradition now in its 42nd year. A half-mile trail winds through the wooded hilltop of Rocky Ridge County Park, glowing with hundreds of thousands of lights. Candy cane-lined paths, walk-through tunnels, animated displays, and trees covered in every imaginable color create a true winter wonderland. Along the way, visitors can enjoy hot chocolate, cookies, model trains, and Bricker’s fries — a local favorite. Photo ops are everywhere, and reservations are required, so plan ahead.
Hershey Sweet Lights | Hershey, PA

A custom holiday radio station sets the soundtrack while you take in the glow from the warmth of your car. Many guests love turning it into a lighthearted challenge by counting the hidden reindeer displays. Since you’ll be so close, adding a visit to Hersheypark Christmas Candylane is an easy bonus.
