About the B. F. Hiestand House

In June 2000, we became proud owners of B.F. Hiestand House, a High Queen Anne Victorian Bed & Breakfast in the historic river town of Marietta, Pennsylvania, located in western Lancaster County.

We love serving others. This is what attracted us to become innkeepers many years ago after selling our newspaper distribution business in the Philadelphia suburbs. The rise of the internet in the late 1990’s caused us to realize we needed to find another business, as newspaper sales
were plummeting. Our first B&B stay was in Kennebunkport, Maine in 1986. It planted the seed
in the back of our minds that we would enjoy doing this one day.

QuincyBecause of our passion for organic gardening, our guests are served many fresh fruits and vegetables from local growers and our own garden. We love to make delectable goodies, baked from scratch, to serve during breakfast and as afternoon snacks. Dallas is known as the muffin man around here!

When we aren’t taking care of guests, much of our free time is spent with our adult twin daughters and their families. We are proud grandparents of Charlie, age 12, Samantha, age 10, Cooper, age 8 and Sophie, age 5. Pam's Mother, Lois, who is 82 years young, also lives with us. We are avid Philly sports fans who enjoy reading, walking, watching old movies, playing Yahtzee and Trivia Crack.

We have received many favorable reviews from our guests and enjoy sharing our spectacular property with others. Our home, your home away from home, is a peaceful place to relax, rest and reconnect. Please let us host your next stay in Lancaster County. We will be happy to help you make the most of everything there is to see and do here.

Warm regards,

Pam, Dallas and Quincy (our 110 lb Fox Red Labrador Retriever)
